Equipment

Ingredients

  • 3 Pieces Big Pickles sliced
  • 1/2 Cup Breading
  • 1 Piece Egg
  • 1/2 Cup Coconut Flour

Instructions

  • Lay out all ingredients and pat pickles dry with paper towels. Preheat the air fryer to 400°Fahrenheit (200°Celsius) for even, crisp cooking.
  • Coat pickles lightly with coconut flour and shake off excess for a thin, even layer that helps the coating stick.
  • Whisk eggs until smooth and frothy, then dip each floured pickle slice, letting extra egg drip off.
  • Press each pickle into the breading mix until fully coated, then arrange in a single, non-overlapping layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 5 minutes at 400°Fahrenheit (200°Celsius) until they start to turn golden, checking occasionally to avoid over-browning.
  • Flip each pickle with tongs, air fry another 3 minutes until perfectly crisp, then serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Dry Your Pickles First: Pat the pickle slices dry with paper towels before breading. This keeps them from getting soggy and helps the coating stick better.
  • Don’t Overcrowd the Basket: Give each pickle slice enough space in the air fryer. Overcrowding can make them steam instead of crisp up.
  • Flip Halfway Through Cooking: Turning the pickles ensures both sides get golden and crunchy. It also helps the breading cook evenly.
  • Serve Right Away: Fried pickles taste best when hot and fresh from the air fryer. Waiting too long can make them lose their crunch.
