  • 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tablespoons Zest from One Medium Orange finely grated
  • 3 Pieces Garlic Cloves minced
  • 2 Tablespoons Sesame Oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon Grated Ginger or a Pinch of Ground Ginger, adjust to preference
  • 1/4 teaspoon Xanthan Gum

Instructions

  • Collect and measure all ingredients: broth, vinegar, soy sauce, sweetener, and spices before starting for a quick, easy process.
  • Heat sesame oil in a pan over medium-high heat and sauté garlic until fragrant, stirring often to prevent burning.
  • Stir in sweetener, chicken broth, orange zest, and ginger; cook for a minute to let the flavors infuse.
  • Pour in rice wine vinegar and soy sauce, whisk well, then sprinkle xanthan gum while stirring continuously; simmer until thickened.
  • Blend the sauce with an immersion blender until smooth and creamy, or leave slightly chunky if preferred.

  • Use Fresh Oranges: For the best flavor, always use fresh oranges. It brings out the natural sweetness and tanginess that stored orange can’t match.
  • Adjust Sweetness: If you like your sauce a little sweeter, add a small amount of honey or brown sugar to taste. Start with a little and adjust as you go!
