Let’s Cook Today was born from a simple idea: cooking doesn’t need to feel complicated or overwhelming. In fact, it can be fun, even relaxing, and something to look forward to at the end of a long day. Whether you’re a total beginner or someone who’s been cooking for years, this is a place where we can enjoy the process together, one delicious recipe at a time.

Cooking Has Always Been My Thing

I’ve been drawn to the kitchen for as long as I can remember. It’s where I feel most like myself, mixing, tasting, trying something new or going back to an old favorite. Over time, my cooking has become less about perfection and more about enjoyment. That’s what I want to share with you here: a sense of ease and fun in the kitchen, with recipes that feel doable even on your busiest days.

I studied at a medical college, and along the way, I learned just how much food really matters. Nutrition isn’t just a theory to me, it’s part of how I cook. I love using fresh ingredients, playing with balance, and making meals that feel good to eat. It doesn’t have to be fancy or overly “healthy”, just nourishing in the most natural way.

Real Life, Real Food

Let’s be honest, life can be a bit chaotic. Between work, family, errands, and the occasional moment to breathe, it’s not always easy to pull together a home-cooked meal. I totally get that. That’s why I focus on recipes that are simple, practical, and still full of flavor. Nothing fussy or overly complicated, just everyday food that works for your schedule and tastes amazing.

This blog is really about showing you that you don’t have to be a chef to make great meals. With a little guidance and the right ideas, anyone can cook. And yes, that includes you, even if you’ve burned toast once or twice (or more, no judgment!).

A World of Flavors in One Kitchen

Over the years, I’ve lived in a few corners of the world: twelve years in Dubai, then four in St. Lucia, and now I’m happily based in Vienna. Each place has left its mark on how I cook and how I see food.

From the bold spices of the Middle East to the breezy freshness of Caribbean dishes, and the heartwarming comfort of European classics, all of these influences have found a place in my kitchen. Don’t be surprised if you come across a little fusion here and there, it keeps things fun and interesting, just the way I like it.

Naturally Nourishing, Always Tasty

Even though this blog isn’t built around a specific diet, I still cook without flour and sugar most of the time, it’s just how I like to eat. A lot of the recipes you’ll find here happen to be naturally low carb, not because I follow any strict rules, but because that’s the style that feels right to me.

What matters most to me is that the food tastes great, makes you feel good, and brings a little joy into your day. If I can help make dinner feel less like a chore and more like a moment of calm (or creativity!), then I’ve done my job.

You’ll find all kinds of recipes here: quick breakfasts, easy lunches, dinners that don’t take forever, and a few treats too. I’ll share helpful tips along the way, tell you what’s worked for me, and keep the tone casual and real. I’m not here to preach perfection. I just want to help you get a meal on the table that you’re excited to eat.

Sometimes, it’ll be a simple soup. Other times, something with a little flair. But it’ll always be made with love and shared with the hope that you’ll feel more confident and comfortable in your kitchen.

I truly believe that cooking is one of the best ways to slow down and enjoy life a little more. It doesn’t matter if you’ve got twenty minutes or two hours, there’s something satisfying about creating something with your own hands and feeding the people you care about (even if that person is just you!).
